Almost GF since 2001 when I stopped licking envelopes thinking that they were part of the gluten problem. Monday I was in a rush and moistened one envelope with my tongue, remembering that a gluten free list called envelope glue contamination with gluten a myth. OK, I'll try this once and see if they were right or wrong. Not a full blown diarrhea attack but severe gas for two days, headaches for a day and a half, lethargy and general intestinal discomfort. This experiment solved the problem for me, no more envelope glue for me. An allergic reaction to paying bills could not be the cause, every Monday I pay a pile of bills for my business and never get this reaction. I do not get a reaction from kissing my wife after she's had a beer.
Does anyone also get a reaction to envelopes? I will summarize.
Dave in Texas
