I thought they discontinued Proloid under the pretext that it wasn't helpful. But, there is something on it at http://newdruginformation.com/Proloid.htm under new drug information Whether that means it's still available or not I don't know.
I guess, if you can't manufacture enough thyroglobulin, as long as you get adequate iodine, some thyroglobulin turns into real thyroid hormone. Or perhaps compensates when one has anti-thyroglobulin antibodies.
