Hi again.
I'm hoping someone can enlighten me.
I was dx'd with Graves in 6/04. I did one RAI treatment in 8/04. I'm
feeling MUCH better, although still feel like I have a fine tremor in my hands. My
last labs (a few weeks ago) showed my T3 and T4 to be in the normal range, and
my TSH has come up to .17. Does it take a while for TSH to get into normal
range?
I had another RAI uptake and scan a couple of weeks ago, and the results are
now in the normal range.
Here's my real question...a couple of months ago my eyes started bothering
me. They tear all the time, and they often feel irritated...like sandy. Then,
the tissue above and below my eyes started swelling. Really puffy...from
below my brow bone and well beyond under my eye. My vision has also
lessened...squinting all the time. I was worried that it had something to do with the
graves. I went to an opthalmologist who sent me for a CT scan (which I had done
yesterday...still no results). She called me today to say that she called my
endo to let him know what was going on. She went on to explain that the endo
told her I was now euthyroid. So she doesn't think my eye problems could have
anything to do with the Graves. I was under the impression that thyroid eye
disease could not only exist, but could progress, even once euthyroid.
Any input? Or could you point me to where I may find some information? I
realize I don't have the results of the CT scan yet, but would like to
understand all this, and be able to have an informed discussion at my endo appt. on
monday.
Thanks in advance
Cheryl H
