Others can give a better explanation of the items that can be tested and the
meaning of the levels.  (Was the TSH 55.11?)

Those who have experienced the wrong diagnoses and wrong medications have
suffered needlessly.  Perhaps the hypothyroidism caused or aggravated the
writer's symptoms.  The writer and his/her psychologist or psychiatrist will
know better when the correct thyroid levels are reached.  There can be other
causes of depression and panic attacks.  If Borderline Personality Disorder
was diagnosed based on personality traits that have been stable over time and
remain stable, the writer may have a lot of work ahead for relearning
patterns of thinking and behaving that were learned long ago.  I imagine that
if the writer felt better, the task could be a bit easier.  If the diagnosis
was based strictly on the writer's thinking and behaving only while being
hypothyroid, it would be wonderful if the one who made the diagnosis noticed
the difference when the correct thyroid levels are reached and maintained.
