As usual this listserve came through. Thanks to all who responded. The one I
was looking for was the Spiritland Bistro, vertified with a follow up to the e-
mailer who was the one who had orginally highly recommended it at a support
group meeting. Unfortunately they do not open until 5:30 on Sundays, and we
we needed a place around noon, so another time. They have a menu with GF
items marked. You can google all the restuarants recommended and thanks to
an online Santa Barbara Restuarant Guide find location, hours, price range,
reviews, and even some, as above, with menus online. Also had two
recommends for Shoreline Beach Cafe where staff were knowledgeable about
GF. Two others, where staff were accommodating, the Dish Cafe in Goleta and
the Hungry Cat in SB and of course Outback Steak House with a GF menu. For
LA restuarants a recommend for the Lobster.
