Hi everyone.
I'm the one with Celiac Disease in the family, but my entire family is
gluten-free...because, after all, I do all the cooking and it's easier
for me to not have to worry about cross contamination.
My daughter is 3 and starting preschool. She has been gluten-free her
whole life because it is easier. She has gotten gluten a few times and
had a questionable reaction with changes in behavior...or maybe it was
a coincidence. Maybe we were looking too closely for a reaction...like
I said, a QUESTIONABLE reaction.
Should I allow her to go to school and just eat the snack that is
provided? It will be twice a week....I don't want her to stand out
with a "different" snack if I don't have to.
We are trying to get into Dr. Pietzak right now, but I'm kinda getting
the run around because she doesn't have symptoms and labwork. But
because she's gluten-free, there is NO lab work and no symptoms. We
just want some advice on what to do...we need a little guidance.
Any opinions and thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephanie in CA
