EXACTLY, Jim!!!  Great analogy!!!  Causation would be the freaking drug companies...it's very profitable to lower the "association" (ie cholesterol), rather than the cause.  Eliminating the cause would only put money in the organic farmers' pockets, oh dear, we can't have THAT.
