Phil,

Even the smallest favors Jesus does for us is heart warming, like one night,
after having listened to weather reports of possible thunderstorms and
saying to Jesus something like, "come on, give me some of Your fireworks!"
In the wee hours of the morning, I felt a hand softly press my arm and awoke
completely. I lay there and listened, and, though I didn't put my hearing
aids in, I heard thunder!

Or the time when I went to a basketball game between my college, now called
Northwest Nazareen University, (NNU), and my brother-in-law, Wendell's,
college, taber College in Kansas (I don't remember for sure the name of it,
but it's a Mennonite Brethren-based school.) Normally I don't ask to go to
a ball game, but I thought this was special and would be cool to banter with
wendell as opponents. If I remember right, I asked The lord to let me meet
someone whom I knew from there. You know what? He sent my first roommate,
one of my best friends, who has worked in a sports-related setting! I'll
have to ask Wendell if he remembers who won, in case you're all curious.
