Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share with you that thirty-one of us had an absolutely wonderful luncheon yesterday at Chez Robert Bistro (Malinda's Tea Room) at 604 W Mt Vernon, Nixa, Missouri. Phone number for reservations is 417-724-2121.
They are open from 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm I think-- maybe 9 pm, Tuesday thru Saturday. They were kind enough to open for our luncheon yesterday so they could devote their time entirely to gluten free food and us. We were pampered and treated like royalty and the food was delicious!

Our menu was:

Mini Strawberry Salad with choice of dressing -- the chef prepared a champagne dressing, a raspberry vinaigrette, and a burgundy one I think -- yummmmmmm

Ham Roll-up Mornay -- a vegetable stuffed rollup baked and covered with a cheese mornay sauce
served with hot French potatoes and rice pasta salad

Dessert was a Flourless Chocolate Torte covered with strawberries and whipped cream served in a stemmed glass

Drinks were choice of strawberry flavored tea, regular tea, soda or coffee

It makes me hungry all over again to write down the menu!

If you are in the Springfield area and looking for a wonderful lunch or dinner, I can highly recommend this restaurant!
If you call a couple of days ahead, they will prepare gluten free pasta for you.

I have no financial interest in this family owned restaurant --- I'm just a very happy customer!

Bon Appetit!

Barbara in SW Missouri

Directions:

For those of you not from the Springfield/Branson area, Nixa is a little town on the south side of Springfield. If you are on Rt 65 on the east side of Springfield, just go west on Route 14. Just west of the stoplight at Route 14 and Route 160/13, you will see Nixa Hardware on your left, then a little strip mall, and then a two story white Victorian house --- that white house is Chez Robert Bistro. Parking is in the back and the entrance is also from the back.
