Thanks to everyone who gave me helpful information. Here's what I learned:

You can get gluten free foods at Guidos marketplace near the pittsfield/lenox line (1020 South Street Pittsfield, MA 01201 - 413-442-9912 & South Main Street Great Barrington, MA 01230 413-528-9255). We have eaten at the Dakota Steakhouse (1035 South St Pittsfield, MA 01201 413-499-7900) directly across from Guidos many times with no problems.

Bizen Gourmet Japanese Cuisine (17 Railroad St, Great Barrington - 413 528-4343) is very good and owner/sushi chef is knowledgeable and keeps GF soy sauce on hand. Recommend that highly.
==========================================
You can try Clovers Natural Food on Rte 20 in Lee (42 Park Street, Lee, MA 01238 - 413 243-1775) they have a good stock of gf food, too.
==========================================
 Windflower Inn (684 S.Egremont Rd. Gt. Barrington, MA 01230 413-528-2720 | 800-992-1993) A gluten-free diet can be accommodated since the Innkeeper has been gluten-free for many years.
