Virgie,

I will have you know that it is 4:19 PM and the temp has dropped 3 degrees
down to 95 degrees already. Of course, that is largely due to the sun being
mostly on the front side of the house where the sun rays are not striking my
themomitor probe outside my window in the backyard. Additionally, we are
lucky. The foothills have been getting late afternoon and early evening
clouds and small lightning storms. It rained about 7:30 last night, little
sprinkles it was, but everything cools down mighty fast when that sun,
heading down the back side of the mountains, is blocked by low hanging
clouds. So God has been kind to us but then again, Colorado evenings always
cool down pretty quickly once the sun gets down behind those peaks. That's
because God lives here, you know. It is a wonderful place to live.
Frankly, I cannot understand how anyone could like in places such as, oh,
West Virginia, London, England where it keeps raining and raining and
raining. I even started wearing my summer shorts yesterday for the first
time this summer. Of course, I also still wear my boot socks so about the
only bare thing sticking out are my knees. Once the heat starts getting to
me, I remove the socks and just wear my moccasins. Well, I wear a shirt and
my shorts and my moccasins. Normally, anyhow, that's what I do. I won't go
bare footed any more after stepping on a dad blamed honey bee once.

Phil.
