You did the correct steps to get to the drive information. You do have to
make sure the drive you want is selected. If you do Shift-F10 with out the
drive being selected you get System Properties dialog instead. The value
you want is called Used Space. With JAWS I find it easier to use the JAWS
curser to read the information on the General tab of the Drive Properties
dialog box, so if you use another screen reader you may want to use the mode
that uses the mouse curser. With JAWS press INSERT + Num-Pad Minus to route
the JAWS curser to the PC curser then press the Num-Pad Minus for JAWS
Curser mode then arrow down until you hear Used Space.

Subject: [VICUG-L] question about files on a floppy disk
> Hi all,
> Well, here's my question.
> I'm using windows xp home.
> I have a floppy disk with 96 files on it.
> I want to find out how much of the floppy I've used up, meaning, I want to
find out how big the total file size is of all the files on the floppy, not
individual files, but all of them.
> So, I went to my computer and selected the a drive, then I pressed
shiftf10 for the menu, then up arrowed to properties and pressed r for that,
and I could *NOT* find anything telling me how big all the files were for
example 500KB.
> How can I find out this information?
> Someone walk me through step by step, ok?
