Hello fellow listers:
Just a brief note to thank all those who responded to my inquiry about
downloading versus listening. As it happens, it was a quicktime plug-in that
was foreclosing this option. I only downloaded quicktime because the rhino
hand-made site required it for previewing tracks, so I simply uninstalled
it. One thing, though; since I have a bookport, and hence the bookport
transfer utility, the "save target as" option has now been taken away from
me, replaced by "send to bookport." Now, I really like bookport, but I do
get my back up when a particular program behaves in such a heavy-handed and
arrogant fashion as to decide for me that it is the only way and the light,
etc., to the exclusion of all other options which were previously available
to me.
Again, many thanks to all who responded.
John
