Hi all,
Well folks, the reason I couldn't save the pdf file as a text file was, when you click on a pdf file on the web you're still using internet explorer, even though adobe reader is processing the document, making it readable. So, first, you have to save the pdf file as it is, using the save as feature in the file menu of internet explorer.
Then, after you save the pdf file to your computer, then, you go back to the desktop, and find the pdf file, and hit enter on the file to open it. Then, it opens in adobe reader and of course, it is processed and made readable by Adobe Reader.
Then, when you press alt you are taken to the menu in adobe reader, and you can then down arrow to save to text and hit v or enter, and
convert the pdf file to text, just by following the prompts in the dialogue box.
Harry
