I got the impression from the Brian Hartgen inberview with Marco that
without the computer it cost less something like seven to eight hundred
pounds. Of course, it also seemed to come in maybe two or three pieces even
witho9ut the computer. Check out this interview which is quite interesting.
Go to the link that works for you then to the Si Recognizer, for more info
click here link; then Jaws thinks it's speaking Italian but it isn't; and
you can make it tab to: To listen to Brian Hartgen's Interview, click here.
Once you get there you download an mp3 file where Brian talks with Marco.
and demonstrates the machine. I still like the idea of the KNFB Mobile
incorporated into one cellphone, but the Si Recognizer reading bottles and
cans appeals also. We need a comparison!

It is advertised at £2,500 here in the U.K., and that's
without training. That would be around 5,000 American
Dollars.
Prices are a tricky area for manufacturers who, at best, can
usually only quote ex-factory prices. In this case, I'm not
sure Italian Lire would mean very much to most people.
George.

What is it about manufacturers of assistive technology that
makes them fail
to post prices? Btw, the link worked fine for me on the
very first try.
Sounds marvelous but I'd like to know how much it would
cost.
