How about his firewall settings? Have you checked into those? that may be
the reason he can't download other things. Alt+n is the pop-up blocker
submenu, which you may be able to investigate when you press the spacebar.
If not, route JAWS to PC and do some clicking. I had no difficulty when i
went the below site address as if to download, and the download dialogue was
working and was the normal download dialogue of IE7, and the file would have
downloaded if I hadn't cancelled. .

Subject: [VICUG-L] Problem Downloading AVG Free Edition using Internet
Explorer 7

Hello All:

I'm working with someone that is having a problem downloading AVG Free
Edition with Internet Explorer 7. When he gets to the file he needs to
download and presses enter on its link, he gets a dialog box that has
such things as "url:" "Time Remaining:" and a long path to where the
file will be downloaded. However, he doesn't get the buttons that say
"run" "Save" or "Cancel." I tried the download myself using IE7 and
although I had to press alt-N to allow the file to actually download, it
did eventually download for me. The gentleman I'm working with has
noticed this behavior on other things he wants to download as well.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of what we should check to allow
him to download AVG and give him the run, save and cancel buttons. I
looked in the options for IE7 and didn't find anything obvious.

Thanks in advance for any help.
