>report them to the Director.
>¢ Coordinate with the Office of Disability Services and campus departments
>to ensure assistive hardware/software and equipment availability.
>¢ Assess campus training needs; develop and coordinate training delivery;
>and prepare user documentation. Provide training/instruction for students
>with disabilities in the use of adaptive technology.
>¢ Provide training/instruction for faculty and staff in the use of adaptive
>technology in University departmental computing labs, libraries and
>accessible computer stations; develop and coordinate an adaptive technology
>lab to be located within the Office of Disability Services.
>¢ Serve as a liaison with UIS departments and Academic Computing in
>determining appropriate adaptive technology in their departments and
>general use computer labs, as well as the necessary interface between
>hardware, software and adaptive technology, including accessible web site
>design.
>¢ Develop training manuals and maintain records of usage of the adaptive
>technology lab.
>¢ Investigate possible outside funding sources to supplement the support of

>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
>¢ Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred).
>¢ Minimum of 3 years of recent work experience involving positions of
>increasing responsibility, including at least 5 years of direct experience
>working with physical or learning disabilities and a detailed knowledge of
>the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 relating to
>accommodations for college and university students.
>¢ Excellent written and oral communication skills, familiarity with data
>processing and assistive technology such as ABBYY Fine Reader, Text Help
>Gold Systems, Kurzweil Systems 1000 and 3000, JAWS for Windows, Dragon
>Dictate Naturally Speaking Preferred, Via Voice and Zoom Text.
