Reminds me of an archeologist who supposedly planted chewed corn cobs in
a closet so that he could fabricate a story about how the house was a
waypoint of the underground railroad. Thus developing a story line to
support preservation of the otherwise unremarkable old house, and
boosting said archeologist's career.
