PIU Felicitates Jammeh
I could only shake my head and wear a sad and distant look in my 
not-so-suprised eyes as I read this felicitation below. What a sorry state 
we find oursleves in today.

The Police Intervention Unit, PIU, has joined the list of government 
institutions and security units to felicitate President Yahya Jammeh, the 
Gambian leader, on the occasion of his 42nd birthday anniversary.

In a letter addressed to President Jammeh, Yankuba Samura, Commandant's (PA) 
and C/Clerk PIU said

"Your Excellency sir, as you celebrate your birth day, I would not sincerely 
do any justice to my own conscience if i did not formally write to you in 
respect of the above matter and also indeed, on behalf of my family and my 
entire unit, the (PIU).

Sir, even without any doubt in the fact that you are the true choice of the 
wise people of The Gambia, you are also the kind of leader that any 
generation would want to witness and of course every nation want to have 
today. How fortunate are we to have you in our time, great many thanks to 
Almighty God for providing us with you. Well-done, I salute you sir.

All your hard work must seem really worth it, your re-election into your 
office is not by any co-incidence, but by your hard work, honesty and 
sincerity for our nation. As you have already been sworn-in for your third 
term, I pray to God that our nation witness many of your such occasion with 
your good healthy working condition, so that together, we can realise your 
visions and aspirations for our motherland.

Please Your Excellency sir, allow me to sign off with your permission and 
accept the assurance of my highest salute to any human being of our time to 
you, Dr Alhagie Yahya Jammeh, President of the Republic of The Gambia. Once 
again, I congratulate and wish you God's protection and guidance in all your 
endeavours and also wish that we celebrate in decades nationally this worthy 
and blessed day."
