First, thank you to most of you who replied. No more need write. Thank you.
Second, I was 'reprimanded' for "attacking" Celestial Seasonings. I
did not. I thanked them profusely for all they do for us. I love
their teas and their's is the only tea I drink...because I know it is
'safe'. And to be sure that they did not misunderstand me..........I
just phoned them, thanking them and also explaining that I now
understand what someone kindly wrote me:
"Thanks to the Allegen Labeling Law, soy must be labeled since it's
one of the top 8 allergens.

Prior to the law, you were probably consuming soy & not realized it
as ingredients that comprized less than 2% of weight didn't have to
be identified. I'm seeing lots of "contains less than 2% of the
following-- " listed on labels recently.

Better question to ask the company is IF the ingredients have
actually changed. When the allergen law sent into effect, they said
it could take up to 18 months for all the old labels/products to work
their way through the distribution system. While not likely, this
might just be new labels on the same products.

So, possibly, soy has been in the teas I drink all along, and I did
not know it. I am allergic to soy, as are some others who have
CD....I thought it a common thing.........but so far, the ones
writing have no problem with soy. my misunderstanding, I
guess. but also, to MY embarrassment, I discovered that one of the
teas I drink every morning, has had soy lecithin listed all along and
I did fine with it. Either it is a minute amount and does not bother
me or it is the 'form' of it, that is ok. Other soy products, such
as Tofu, etc......I can't eat. Whatever....I feel 'relieved' by the
above email/information.

Thank you. Linda
