Subject: Please pray with me!

Something interesting happened today. It "happened" to be the day I went to
see my psychiatric nurse practitioner. When you use Medicaid-supported
transportation companies, as I do, you can often be riding with different
drivers to and from appointments. I went there with a man, so I was
surprised to have a woman to take me back to day treatment, whom I hadn't
seen in a long time. I'll call her Lola. Lola often comes to my house to
pick up Blanca's oldest daughter, Luisa, who has the mind of both a
3-year-old and a teenager. On the way back to Daybreak, Lola informed me
that she'd talked with Blanca this morning, when Blanca called her to change
something about Luisa's transportation. Lola has a 14-year-old
granddaughter who has cerebral palsy, and cannot walk or talk. She needs
total care, but her loved ones are not available. Blanca offered to take
her in. As yet, I haven't talked with Blanca, so I don't know how she
arrived at this decision. It came as a surprise, because I was hoping,
somewhat, that one of my friends would move in with me.

With this in mind, I've never been completely happy living here, largely
because my care providers can't seem to go out into the community much.
blanca and Jose still have 2 teenagers at home, and Luisa, and an older
gentleman who is severely mentally delayed and in a wheelchair. It seems
the only time he leaves the property is to go to the doctor or the hospital.
I was told that it takes both Jose and Blanca to lift him, because Jose has
had high blood pressure as well as other physical problems.
Personalitywise, I would say that these people are my favorite caregivers,
but I'd rather be with a very small group, or a couple with an empty nest,
or even a single woman who likes to go out and do things.

I'm not sure what the lord has in mind for me now. In a way, it doesn't
seem right to leave them, because of the recent moving of the Holy Spirit in
their lives, and the Spanish ministry they want to support. But I hope He
doesn't care if I move elsewhere. So please pray with me that the lord will
lead me in the best way possible.

Thanks, and God bless you!

Sharon
