My friends family owns a farm and for the holidays they gave a bunch of
pig parts to people. One of the items that I received was a smoked
ham/roast. I have read many things on this website about smoked ham/roast
but none that come straight from a farm. Since I am still new to this diet,
(almost one year) I don't know if I can eat this Ham. Here are the
ingredients on the package.
Ingredients:
Cure-Water
Salt
Cane and Maple Sugar
Sodium Nitrate .85%
Cold Phosphate-Sodium Tripoly Phosphate
Tetra Sodium Phosphate
Sodium Hexameta Phosphate
Sodium Erythorbate
Ham Spice
Spice Extractives
Is there anything on this list I should be worried about. Reading
labels is still a challenge to me and escpecially on ham since I know it seems
to be a big topic here.
Any info would be great.
Thanks so much
