Something that's puzzled me for a while... Tesco organic pineapples
have a notice that says "This pineapple is organically grown so is
greener than a standard pineapple. Eat when the body is green and
the base is golden."

Which makes me wonder, why are non-organic pineapples more golden?
Are they picked later? (And if so, why?) Are they a different
variety? Or do they have yellow dye added?

Anyone know?

Ashley
