Mag and Ken,

Thanks for the ergonomics suggestions! We're already using most of them,
but you're absolutely right about finding PT's and MD's who are willing to
think "outside the box." I'm auditing an "Aging and Disabilities" course
this semester and one of the questions on the midterm was

"What are 4 things that health care providers should know about people with
disabilities, particularly as they age." Two of the four things I put down
were

1. DON'T SHOUT! and

2. Be willing to learn from your patient, as he probably knows more about
his disability than you do, at least from a practical (day to day living)
standpoint.

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
