Hello All:
I received a call from someone using a Seagate Free Agent Go External
Hard Drive. She has always been able to plug this drive in and a
message comes up asking what she wants the computer to do. The first
action is 'Start Seado' and she presses enter on it. She hears the
message 'Launching Seado' after which she is able to tab and access her
document folders and the music and books she has on the drive.
Now what is happening is that she gets the 'Launching Seado' message and
when she tabs she hears nothing. She presses alt-tab and gets a Seado
Smart Player Executable Security Warning. It warns her about running
software only from publishers she trusts. She has two options, run or
don't run. Regardless of which one she presses, she can't ultimately
access the drive. Even if she goes to My Computer then presses enter on
the 'e:' drive, she gets this same series of messages.
Anyone know what may be going on here and how it can be fixed?
Thanks,
Ray Campbell, Help Desk Technician
