How is success defined? Longevity? Reduced morbidity? Increased well-being?
The book has case studies and testimonials. Many patients were obese and
had obesity related illnesses -- diabetes -- high blood pressure etc. He ran
a clinic where his patients had all but given up being made sicker by
conventional medicine aka drugs and awful diet. He mentions how the awful food in
Polish hospitals don't give anyone a chance at health -- same can be said
for the ones here. ( When my obese, type 2 diabetic suffered a stroke, I
remember her hospital meal contained a teensy strip of skinless chicken breast
and large portions of instant mashed potato and steamed carrots. That was
the diebetes expert's idea of an appropriate meal.) There is also a
testimonial by a doctor whose MS progression was halted -- no claim of cure -- but a
halting of progression that was quite impressive. It's basically a low carb
diet that contains less protein than Atkins and 70%+ fat. The web site
someone else posted really explains it. It's a protein restricted Atkins. But
the only way to sustain 70%+ fat while also restricting protein is by
eating added pure fat such as cream, butter or lard -- oil etc. For those who
tolerate dairy -- the plan would be quite easy.
