We're grappling with a similar situation. My dairy allergies were 
adult onset. Our oldest, now 20, has been hair-trigger allergic from 
birth. Our middle, age 18, now has adult-onset dairy allergies and 
LI. We're expecting the same from our youngest, now age 16.

Our children never cease to challenge us. And amaze us :-)
