my point was, we are always having to fight bs!   but to his credit, reagan did sign the lanterman act, giving kids and adults with DD more options than living in state hospitals.

How does this relate to the1950s, Mag?  As I recall, Gov. Reagan was
cutting services when he was in office. I remember the hoopla before
we moved back East.
