Hi Kat,
Its not quite as bad as that, a British Gallon is 20% larger than a US gallon
(we have 20fl oz per pint - you have 16 - and even our fluid ounces are
different 1 of yours is 4% bigger) by my reckoning the US equivalent is
$7.62.
Also helps to explain why my 2.5tdi Skoda Superb manages 40mpg (compared to US
quoted mpgs).
Must remember to pack some Jerry Cans, wonder what the luggage allowance is!
