Hi,
I downloaded the manual as a pdf doc and John, you are right, I had to
reprogram one of the PF keys on the microphone so that I could enter
frequencies. So far, I'm very impressed. Intermod seems to be much better
than on the 700a and the receiver is really sensitive on 2 meters. I
haven't played with the rig much yet on 440. The only thing that is a
little disappointing so far is that the VGS1 does not speak the menu name as
in the 480. It does speak the menu number and its value and I can look up
the menu name from the manual. I have also gotten good audio reports on the
air, so so far I'm impressed.
