How physically do you short pins 3 and 6 on the packet connection?

I have never done anything like that before, and am sure, now, that I will 
need sighted assistance.

As for sending me the service manual, let me see what the Kenwood folks give 
me. ... If they give me the section that I need right out of the manual, I 
may just go with that.
