If we were never intended to eat sugar/starch, then why is it so flavorful?
I don't entirely buy the opioids argument. Sure, the cravings *later* might be attributed to it, but what about the initial enjoyment?
Yeah, there are people I know who genuinely don't like chocolate (I think they're nuts, but hey - it's their loss :), while others seem to take to it from the get-go. I'm not a huge sugar fan, but I do like certain (I would say "lightly") sweetened things. As I've posted in the past, I can only eat an exclusive meat/fat diet for so long before it starts making me nauseous and gaggy. Seems like I *have* to eat fruits, berries, some starches, some chocolate for whatever reason.
