Sharon,
I'm sure the paper will allow a free ad to announce it and the owner might
look in there, or check with the local dog pound or Humane Society as the
man will likely be checking there or they will have his info or take your
dad's info and have the guy call him. Just think "If I lost a dog, where
would I be checking?" :)
