Phil,

In some parts the waters are definitely going down; in others (generally
pretty near to us) they're still rising. The problems though are not going
away. In the worst hit place they just don't have enough water being
delivered and many times people go to the bowsers to find them empty. They
speak little about the elderly and I haven't heard "disabled" mentioned
once. However these people are managing I just don't know. They're talking
also about needing plenty of porta-toilets for this area and more than they
can find at present. One plus with the water receding is that some have
driven out to Bristol for showers and to wash clothes.

I've just heard though about the heat and resultant deaths in Greece,
Hungary and Italy. There are fires raging in Grece and Italy, I think and
numbers of people have died from the heat which has reached 45 C. which is
about 113 F.

"Oh, come Lord Jesus, come quickly!"
