To anyone looking for the latest information on thyroid disease, please
check out:
http://thyroid.about.com/
The site is loaded with intelligent information...nobody there is trying to
sell a product (there are small ads to help pay for the site, but they are
well-deliniated).
Celiac disease and autoimmune thyroid disease are kissing cousins, and the
longer you went undiagnosed with CD, the more likely you are to have another
autoimmune condition like that which causes MOST thyroid disease.
If your doctor keeps telling you your thyroid labs look fine but you are
having trouble, you need to know what he/she doesn't know. Few people on
this forum, I know, are going to argue with the fact that today's medical
practices are less than ideal for routing out difficult to treat conditions.
Good luck and good health,
Kit Kellison
