This weekend I was treated to a joyous sunday.
His father was a police officer in Dublin, a veritable domestic ambassador.
Himself, he is the doyen of determination, grit, and purpose. He had a few
weeks earlier conquered Royal Berksdale and this weekend he laid bare the soul
of Oakland Hills. Soft-spoken, mild-mannered, and of measured temperament,
Harrington re-introduced Ireland to us. As he had done in Carnoustie, he tamed
the bull once again. I am very proud of Padraig for he represented Ireland
well. Like the Irish Catholic foot-soldiers for humanity, Padraig Harrington has
become the honourable ambassador for Ireland. I pray that his international
exploits will help cement the Good Friday folk of Ireland and galvanise them
for God and country. The winnings are also for Ireland Suntou.
Haruna. Padraig named his son after his own father - Patrick.
