My elderly mother (coeliac and Sjogren's) is being treated for be an eye infection with fusidic acid and it is not getting better after 10 days. Any suggestions for alternative treatment?
The infection (if that's what it is - there is no pus or itchiness but it is sore) appears to have followed an eye consultation to check on the punctal plugs she has had inserted a while ago. Recently her problem has been excessive eye watering rather than dry eyes. Should the plugs be removed?
