Two years ago after my bone density test results showed that I had
osteoporosis in my left hip and osteopenia in my spine my doctor
strongly urged me to start taking Fosomax which I did sporadically
for about 6 months. After much research I decided this wasn't for me
and chose instead to exercise and take supplements. My last week's
test results have come back and my hip has improved 7%! My doctor
said she normally sees a 1% or 2% increase so this is really
significant. I attribute this increase to the following:
1. weekly yoga classes
2. Tri-Boron Plus (4 capsules per day)
3. a daily multi-vitamin formulated for seniors
4. an additional 1,000 IU of vitamin D
Since I am still in the osteopenia range I would like to do more for
my bones and have recently decided to add strontium to my daily regimen.
Here's my question to this knowledgeable group:
I have read that strontium works best with 1500 mg of calcium and
at least 800 IU of vitamin D taken separately from a meal or calcium
but I am wondering if I SHOULD I CONTINUE TO TAKE TRI-BORON PLUS
ALONG WITH THE STRONTIUM?
I will be happy to summarize if I receive responses.
