MAURITANIE
Les deux journalistes d'Al Houriya remis en liberté provisoire
Le 17 août 2008, la cour d'appel de Nouakchott a accordé une remise
en liberté provisoire à Mohamed Nema Oumar et Mohamed Abdellatif,
journalistes de l'hebdomadaire arabophone privé Al Houriya. Leurs
avocats avaient introduit une demande de liberté provisoire depuis le
début de leur incarcération, le 21 juillet 2008.

Two journalists conditionally freed
Mohamed Abdellatif, publisher of the privately-owned weekly paper Al
Houriya, and one of his reporters, Mohamed Nema Oumar, were
conditionally released by the Nouakchott appeals court on 17 August.
They were arrested and imprisoned on 21 July.
