Dear Listserve Members,
I have always recommended Progresso Soups because many are safe for the
gluten-free diet and all their products are clearly labeled. For instance
barley is in the name of the soup if it's in the product, or so I thought.
Today, I discovered this may not always be the case. I started to buy
Progresso's Split Pea Soup with Bacon then noticed barley flour in the
ingredient list. Since it's not one of the eight major allergens, they
don't declare it in the "contains" statement and it's not in the name of the
product. So, buyer beware!
