I'd like to add one little comment about Families issues:
When family/inlaws/friends actually make an effort to accommodate
us,
it helps to enthusiastically praise and thank them.
I have found that this gratitude sets things in motion for future
accommodations. My family just did a potluck for the holidays,
and
(unknown to me) my sister's instructions to everyone was "bring
gluten
free food!" I was very grateful (wary, but pleased) and I made
sure to
thank everyone who made gf foods.
Happy Eating,
