I think it is only happening on various web pages.  For the past several
days, I keep finding a statement similar to the following; I can't seem to
get to it to copy it to include it here.  I do not know what I did to
activate the thing and would like to deactivate it if anyone can tell me how
it got activated in the first place.

I go to a site and get a statement like:

type your question and then press enter.  For best results complete
sentences should be used.

That is not the exact wording but close.  Then it will say something like
search the web; anyway, search something.  Then, it will finally go on to
the page I want.  I have found this on several sites and am assuming it will
appear on them all.
