Lou,

Two of the easiest radios I've ever learned are the TS480 and the TM-V71A
even though both are fairly complex in terms of the number of things they
can do and the number of menus they have. I was able to figure out most of
the controls on both radios without a cheat sheet by just pressing buttons
and listening to what the VGS-1 said. Granted, I couldn't do much with the
menus until I got the menu list from the manual, but I was still able to
figure out basic things such as which button changed power, and which button
was the function control, etc. It's true that we're pretty creative about
finding workarounds when things aren't accessible, but I love it when I
don't have to be creative in that way, and I really hate to have to give up
that easy access once I have it.

Steve
