In the View menu of the cloning software there's an option labeled "common
settings".  This allows you to set all the menu settings.  There are three
tabs within the common settings, the CW readout is under the expanded
settings #2.

Every time you program the radio with the software, when you're done you
have to reenable the CW read out.
