Hi All--
One of my docs ran some standard tests to determine levels of sodium,
calcium, etc. in my body prior to going back on gluten. I've had severe
osteoporosis for 20 years. This past year, I've been hit and miss on the
calcium and vitamin D - mostly miss. I don't take anything else that would
add calcium to my body, other than drinking milk and eating dark green
veggies.
My calcium came back very high normal - one more point and I would have been
high. I did some research on that and found that high serum calcium will
sometimes indicate a cancer. Though I'm not technically high, I'm close
enough to wonder why I'm as high as I am. If one reabsorbs calcium, as in
osteoporosis, does one's serum calcium become high?
Any other suggestions? Thoughts? I'll summarize any responses...Thanks a
bunch! Ayn in Alabama
