Sweet T,
This message is long, so read it in stages if you need to.
You can rest assured that Jesus saw your message. He is a real person,
Someone whom, someday, we'll be able to literally be able to reach out and
touch, and He'll reach out and touch you too! He loves you most,
understands you more than anyone else ever could, He's available 24/7 and
you never have to part company. Although I can't claim to understand what
you're going through, I know how it is to feel depressed and hopelessly
sinful, hurt by other well-meaning Christians and even some Christian
counselors, that I needed to change my thoughts, realize that I must take
responsibility for my life, realize that I myself am the problem, just hand
it all over to The Lord and trust Him, , etc. I took on a view, long before
I started praying with Phil, that it would be better to consult God directly
as to what is going on, rather than relying totally on doctrinal and
psychological know-how. My experience with Phil has helped me to find that
answer, and I pray that the lord will continue to show you His Truth that
sets us free! One thing He showed me is that He has the first word, and He
will have the last word. If something someone says doesn't line up with His
Word, and is pressurizing, discouraging and condemning, it's not Him
speaking. I still need to learn that myself. I'm glad you shared this
letter with us, Sweet T. the church is supposed to be the hospital for
sinners and a support group for us broken ones, and it needs to allow
everyone to vent their feelings whenappropriate, no matter how vile it might
be. It says in James that we should confess our faults to one another and
pray for one another, that we may be healed.
Peace,
Sharon
