Subject: Please pray

The dreaded phone call is often expected, but we're never prepared when it
is our loved one of whom the news concerns. Marilyn Gilliam Kyle Deweese
got just such a call today. Finally content in her marriage to Frank, it
seems as though declining health will soon usher Frank in to eternity.
Please pray for Frank that he will find peace and salvation through our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ. Please pray for Marilyn that her care giving days,
no matter how long be filled with God's peace and strength. She has her own
disabilities with which to cope, but she needs to be strong for Frank. The
doctor says it will only be a matter of time as the cancer has invaded his
system. The other day when they removed the kidney, the family was filled
with hope only to have reality deal that crushing blow that things are not
as they seemed. Hospice will be called in within a matter of time, and they
will continue to learn more from the doctors as more news is available.
Frank doesn't know and it will be Marilyn's difficult task to tell him.

I'm sure many of us have lost loved ones to cancer, so we know we can be
there for them both as they walk through this valley. I am babbling as I
often do when I'm not sure what or how much to say, but please pray that
Marilyn and Frank both become confident in their salvation and will have
eternity's choices made before it is too late. I love Marilyn. We've known
each other since I was four and she was five. She is as much of a sister to
me as if we had had the same parents.

Thanks for keeping her and Frank in your prayers. I'm going to try to visit
her tomorrow night to take her some things. She may be taking Frank home on
Sunday.
