we went to the hospital for the diabetic class and then went and saw John
and Vicki.  John is off the ventilator.  He is very hoarse, of course, but
as we stood at the foot of his bed, we were putting our hands on the foot of
the bed guard and John kicked his foot at Sandy so she pinched his toe.  We
prayed and left because the nurse said he'd already had too many visitors
and almost did not let us in to see him.  Vicki was there alone at the
moment.
