Subject: [gui-talk] Cambium Learning Technologies/KESI Engineering Position

I have been given permission to distribute the job announcement below, for
the position vacated by Bob Alexander. It doesn't mention Kurzweil 1000,
but
that was an oversite in the composition of the announcement, and K1K and K3K
share alot of "core code".

W. Nick Dotson

Cambium Learning Technologies, a leading developer of curriculum materials
and educational software, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer

to assist in the development of Kurzweil 3000, an industry-leading solution
for students and individuals with reading difficulties, in their Bedford, MA
office.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:
#	Bachelors degree required in Computer Science or related
discipline.
#	8 12 years experience as a professional Software Engineer in a
Development capacity.
#	In-depth knowledge of C++, Microsoftr Windows" system internals, the
Win32 API, COM, ATL, and the .NET 2.0 application framework.
#	Extensive experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual
Studio 2005.
#	Willingness and ability to be the technical lead and be involved in
the decision-making process for internal tool use, configuration and
maintenance of those tools, and oversight of the critical software build
process.
#	Experience converting between Win32 and .NET code a major plus.
#	Experience bringing applications into compliance with Windows Vista
a major plus.

The Kurzweil 3000 development team is a small, focused group of
professionals who are dedicated to opening the world beyond the printed page
to
individuals with reading difficulties. If you meet the above requirements,
and want to be a part of a fun, challenging, and ultimately rewarding
software
