The MOBO info is usually shown in the lower left corner of one of the very 
early boot screens.
You will have to be quick to hit the pause key to let it stay on the screen 
long enough for you
to copy it down.

Hi Dave,

The answer depends on the make and model of the motherboard. Different speed
processors typically need different core voltage requirements. They may also
need different bus speed support also. Not to mention that there are a few
different package types.

If you can find the make and model of the motherboard, you can probably look
up on the manufacturers web site what processors they support.

im trying to figure out if my PIII 701 mhz processor can be upgraded and =
how high of an upgrade I can put in. I have a PIII 1.0g processor in a bo= x
but dont know if I can use it. Any ideas? by the way this was a custom =
